What is Epiphany Groupware?

It is a web-based service that provides features you would find in Outlook, Timeslips, and AOL including calendaring, project management, email, timecard system, faq system, bulletin board, chat room, and file library. Additional services include virus scanning of email, spam filtering, and web site hosting.

What can I do with it?

You can audit staff appointments, manage projects, audit timecards, create a CRM (Customer Retention Management) program, and create a training program for your staff. This service will allow you to share information like never before with people inside and outside your organization. It is also fully customizable (see customization charges) to match how you conduct business.

Why can't I buy a software package?

Epiphany Groupware is a complex product that should be maintained on a stable operating system and server with back up facilities. The best way to begin is by using our online service and when you are ready, we will provide a stand-alone server for your business. Our goal is for your organization to use the service as easily and quickly as possible.

How long does it take to get started?

Your account can be created within 24 to 72 hours depending on web site transfer. How much training you need is up to you. We can provide one-to-one or one-to-many training sessions (see training charges.)

How often can I change the number of users?

You may change the number of users at anytime.

How do you bill?

All purchases are made online with a credit card. You will receive a monthly invoice through your email account before your credit card is charged.

How do I close my account?

Email us with your request and we will close your account within 24 hours. Our minimum charge is a 1 month period so we do not provide refunds or credits.

How (and how often) is Epiphany Groupware updated with new features?

One of the advantages of using an ASP-based application is that you are always using the latest version of the software. Typically we update the software with new enhancements once a quarter. This update usually takes no more than 5 to 10 minutes, during which time the Epiphany Groupware service is unavailable. We do, however, conduct our updates during times when the system is least likely to be used, to ensure the least amount of disruption to service.

How many employees can I have in the Epiphany Groupware system?

Epiphany Groupware does not limit the number of employees you can add to the system-from 1 to more than 1,000! For implementations of more than 40 employees, we encourage customers to contact our implementation department for a smooth and rapid deployment plan.

What type of company is best suited for using Epiphany Groupware?

Currently, Epiphany Groupware supports data collection through the Web, a Web-enabled cell phone or PDA device, making it optimal for any business that has employees with access to such devices. The types of businesses, therefore, are limitless, including dental and medical offices, law offices, call centers, consultants, construction and many others.

What kind of servers run the Epiphany Groupware system and are they shared or dedicated?

Epiphany Groupware uses a dedicated fully redundant server to ensure maximum performance and availability. The Epiphany Groupware server is dedicated, used to serve ONLY Epiphany Groupware customers.

How does Epiphany Groupware manage disaster recovery?

Epiphany Groupware has gone through extensive efforts to ensure disasters don't occur. But to ensure for maximum reliability, we have arranged with our hosting partner, Rackspace, to backup Epiphany Groupware data on a weekly basis. In case of a catastrophic disaster, we can recover customer data from backup tapes within hours of such an unlikely event.

How reliable is Epiphany Groupware?

The servers are housed in a world-class Rackspace data center, also providing redundant power, network connectivity and fault tolerance at every level.

Security

How secure is my data?

Our Level 1 Security offers weekly back up of data and encryption of files uploaded to the server. Our Level 2 Security provides daily backup of data, encryption of files uploaded to the server, and SSL connections to Epiphany Groupware which encrypts any transfer of information.

Who can access my data?

Access to your data is granted only to those holding your company URL, user id, and password

Other than a web browser, what other hardware or software do I need to access Epiphany Groupware?

If you can run a web browser such as Internet Explorer 5.0 and access the Internet, you can access Epiphany Groupware.

What happens if the Internet connection on my side goes down?

Since Epiphany Groupware is a web-based application, you will need to have an Internet connection to use the service. However, even if your permanent Internet connection goes down, you might still be able to access the Epiphany Groupware site through a dial-up service such as a local ISP or even AOL. You may purchase our Palm OS synchonization service and update some modules offline.

When can I access the Epiphany Groupware?

Epiphany Groupware service is accessible to customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Since it is necessary to perform periodic upgrades and maintenance to any system, we have created a "Scheduled Maintenance" page that will post any planned down times. All Epiphany Groupware customers will have access to this schedule for planning and convenience purposes.

Is there a limit to how often I can use the Epiphany Groupware system?

Use the system as often as you wish, as there is absolutely no limit.
